Jack’s Sack: The Fleshlight Grip

Good day my lovely deviants, and welcome again to Jack’s Sack. Miss the last entry? You can read it here. Today we’re going to be reviewing an extremely pliable toy that I greatly enjoyed.

An Ode To Hands

Before synthetic flesh, we had but these wagging appendages.

The human body is a glorious, wonderful machine. It’s most apparent for me personally when I consider our hands. These things we take for granted and abuse, they’re capable of so much. Creation, destruction. Pleasures and peril. As I’m now old enough to qualify as a “classic” model were I a car, it’s my hands I cherish most. Even above my throat, my mind. There hasn’t been a moment in my life I didn’t look at my palms and realize I could do just about anything. My skill set, knowledge and other abilities didn’t come close to matching the smarmy snap of my fingers and a one liner in terms of motivation.

Yet, they’ve served me less as I’ve gotten older. Technology has made leaps and bounds with dictation. Were Google Docs just a bit sharper, I’d be writing this review just like that. Tools have grown in terms of ergonomics to the point even the lightest grip can do the most. All of this, I should stress, is good. I am incredibly glad we’re at the point with design work that accommodating people of all abilities is something we think of foremost. I’m not getting any younger, and the looming threat of arthritis is very, very real. It’s rare now I need to make use of my hands for much more than flicking a switch or opening a jar.

When the opportunity arises for me to make greater use of them-say, a light deft touch when turning a screw, or with art-appreciation washes over me anew. I love my hands. I’m glad they’re here. Seeing technology integrate them in new and interesting ways makes me happy.

Which brings me to today’s item-the Fleshlight Fleshskins Grip. We’ll call it the grip for short. Arriving in a sealed plastic bag, the receptacle for it gives it a wonderful presentation. It looks like some kind of sci-fi utility, like the grip for a plasma rifle. Sealed in its case, it very easily could serve as a talking point for such things if you were clever enough to steer conversation that way. It’s a pleasing shade of “ice blue”, and while colored won’t obscure the user during use. It’s a push through toy, meaning there’s no worry of not having enough room. But the most wondrous thing about it?

It’s one of the most pliable toys I’ve ever used

Not All Hand Tools Are Created Equal

When it comes to sex toys, an overwhelming amount of them are made from silicone or medical grade rubber. This makes the toys pliable while also making them a cinch to clean up.  Dildos, strokers, plugs and more can be easily washed while maintaining their shape. However, not every toy is cast identically. Some are far more firm than others, which is usually an intention of design. Ideally, this allows your toy to maintain its shape despite frequent use. With dildos, “slightly firmer” is ideal. Unless you’re using a packer, nobody wants their toy just flopping all over the place. There also has to be some element of “give” in order for the toy to move in various orifices.

This rule can apply to strokers, but often not to the degree that’s ideal. A stroker can’t be too loose or all sensation is dependent upon the “shell” or user. It can’t be too firm, or it might harm the user. While many manufacturers have managed to find the happy “middle ground” in their casting process for certain toys, it’s very apparent there’s no standard from product to product, much less competing manufacturers. In my personal experience, Fleshlight products tend to go for softer and more pliable. While I won’t say this is universal to all their toys, it absolutely is noticeable fucking one of their products to another. Even “soft” toys I’ve tried from Tenga and others aren’t as pliable as Fleshlight products.

In no way whatsoever is this shade being tossed, nor is it an endorsement. Rather, Fleshlight has a softness that’s unique to their products. This is typically complimented by an ergonomic shell that aids in form and use.

The grip eschews these latter elements and instead features four holes for the users fingers. Shaped in a way that contours to your hand, while you don’t have to use the finger holes it greatly aids in end-use experience. As mentioned, the toy is incredibly pliable and will accommodate users of all finger sizes and girth. I’ve often had trouble fitting into toys written about here, and I slid within the grip easily with a minimal amount of lube. My fingers fit comfortably within the holes as well.

Right off the bat, most users will simply grip their cocks and pump vigorously. I decided to play around a bit more, and changed the position of my hand, grip strength, used my other hand, used both hands and much more. I even angled my hand away from my cock, causing the Grip to pull tightly towards my fingers for a pleasurable buck. I flipped the unit upside down and fucked it from the other side. No matter what abuse my cock gave the toy, it complied happily. Cleanup likewise was incredibly easy. Simply flip the grip inside out, use a toy cleaner and let it air dry.

I got the idea to use the grip in the shower. Sometimes strokers will react slightly differently if used as such. Some toys “tighten up”, some don’t. The grip maintained it’s pliability despite a vigorous fuck in the shower. By the time I splattered the tiles, I was overwhelmingly happy with the toy.

Conclusion:

At $40 (as of the time of this writing), I feel that the grip has some competition. Tenga offers countless similar products that, albeit aren’t as pliable, are usually 10-15 dollars cheaper. There’s several different “egg” strokers on the market as well in various sizes that more or less accomplish the same thing. Likewise, products from Tracy’s Dog offer full size fleshlights for ten dollars less.

There’s also the issue of this being a product clearly designed for abled users. Simply put, you have to have a set of fingers to get the full use of this device. In a market rich with opportunities to accommodate less able-bodied users, I find it striking that no one-least of all Fleshlight-has risen to assist users who may have grip issues or lack the means to use their products. The demand is clearly there.

Despite these two qualms, I enjoy my time with the Grip, and think I’ll be taking it with me into the shower quite often. Huge thank you to the deviant that sent this in.
