Jack’s Sack: The Fleshlight Flight Pilot

Good day my lovely deviants, and welcome again to Jack’s Sack. Miss the previous entry? You can read it here. Today, we’re going to talk about branding, tactile sensations and how we all get by with some slipping. Let’s begin. 

Big Name Games

Fleshlight as a company needs no introduction. They’re synonymous with strokers to the point most refer to any stroker as a Fleshlight, even if it isn’t one of their products. I’ve covered several of their toys before, alongside the significantly cheaper but no less fuckable competition. My observations alone doth not a total judgement make, and I’m well aware of that. So what gives? What really makes Fleshlight all that different from the imitators and competition? 

Answering that is way more nerdy than it is sexy. 

When selecting a toy, the way it will feel against your genitals is incredibly important. Many toy crafters even allow you to select the relative density of your toy before it’s cast. This is entirely the norm with custom dildo crafters like Twintail Creations, Geek Sex Toys, and many others that aren’t the criminally scummy Bad Dragon (read more on how shitty they actually are here). Everyone’s sweet spot between “firm” and “loose as actual silly putty” differs, and fractures from there on the toys intended use.

The relative firmness of a toy is achieved via the materials used in casting, production method, temperatures used during production and other minute details that would absolutely bore you to death. All of this combines into an alchemical ritual that either produces the philosopher’s stone or the next thing you’re going to fuck. Fleshlight, by design, hits a versatile sweet spot

It’s not because of the design of their shells. Frankly, they’re not all that different from others in the market-though they certainly cut an impression. Rather, it’s the feel of the inner sleeves I find most appealing in practice. Both the previous models I reviewed and today’s offering featured identical give and pliability, which made fucking these toys a constant. Fleshlight has endured because they got it right. 

But What Of Today’s Review?

I received the Fleshlight Flight Pilot in a box with a brand new camera for the studio. To the deviant that sent this in, you’ve my eternal gratitude. I was so overjoyed to be able to film in higher definition that I actually pushed the Fleshlight to the side for a day or so. I had lighting and film editing to figure out, after all. 

By the time I pulled it from the box, I was in a deep need. The Flight Pilot came sealed in a well made box that loudly proclaimed what was inside, complete with a window. Don’t open this amazon package around anyone else. Packaging was simple, and I was delighted to see it came with a sample pack of lube and a bottle of their toy cleaner. 

The toy itself is billed as “the perfect travel stamina trainer” due to a compact design. It’s a little smaller than a normal water bottle, and slightly thicker at the base. It opens on either end via screwable plastic shell caps, which makes cleaning and pushing through the sleeve itself a breeze. However, this design also means there’s no true way to engage suction or variable airflow within the sleeve. Controlling air flow is synonymous with stroker design at this point, and I was a bit surprised to find this feature missing off the top. The “end” cap (not the opening for your genitals) seems to feature airflow control, but unscrewing the cap to free these vents added nothing to the overall experience. 

So how did the Fleshlight Flight Pilot actually perform?  

I can say with full confidence the reviews on that amazon listing are full of shit

The Pilot falls very much into a “use-case sensitive” kind of situation. Longtime readers of this series know that I often have difficulty fitting into toys because of my girth. Stretching them out is a constant, and I often have to put some of my favorite toys up for weeks at a time to regain elasticity. By virtue of lacking air flow control, the Pilot was “loose”, but not in a bad way. It actually allowed me to comfortably slide within the sleeve to the hilt. The inner sleeve was soft and receptive regardless of how furious my bucking became. In practice, it felt a lot like the quickshot models I reviewed some time ago. You know, the ones I about drowned my phone with?

I came inside the quickshot after a nice half-hour of edging. Before the weekend was over, I had fucked it two more times. Cleaning it was exceptionally easy-you literally pull the sleeve out. Though I opted to use the foam cleaner I typically use for work over Fleshlight’s included bottle. Maybe one day I’ll do a write up on cleaners. 

Conclusion

Fleshlight is a big name for a good reason-but like many other manufacturers, they’ve a varied product line. The Flight Pilot was something I personally found enjoyable for my relative wants and needs from a toy. It may not fit what others are looking for. Were I to recommend this, it would be for people who have exceptional girth (like myself) that want a more comfortable toy that isn’t going to milk them dry in minutes. If you’re in the market for a Fleshlight brand product and aren’t sure what to get, I actually recommend the quickshots first. They’re a great demonstration of what Fleshlight’s textures feel like, won’t break the bank and are incredibly easy to clean.
